General Labourer

Job Summary

Carter Brothers Ltd is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team in the Moncton area. This role involves assisting skilled workers, maintaining safe and organized job sites, and performing a variety of physical tasks in outdoor environments.

Duties

- Assist cable linemen with tasks such as pulling lashers, lowering guy wires, and gathering materials

- Support pole setting crews by backfilling holes, tamping around poles, and preparing materials

- Assist tree workers with general duties as required

- Haul and clear brush, logs, and other debris from work sites

- Set up, distribute, and collect traffic control devices at job locations

- Help control the movement of vehicular traffic safely through and around work zones

- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

- Operate basic hand tools and equipment as required

- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and site instructions

- Perform general site preparation and cleanup duties

- Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and teardown

- Report any hazards, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors

- Perform other general labour tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

- Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety practices is an asset

Working Conditions:

- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
