General Laborer/Forklift Operator

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer/Operator to join our team. This position involves working at a structural steel fabrication shop and operating heavy machinery to support project completion. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction site operations and a strong understanding of safety protocols.

Duties

- Load and unload structural steel using heavy equipment.

- Ensure the proper maintenance and safety checks of all equipment before operation.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.

- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.

- Conduct yard and steel inventory as needed.

Skills

- Proficient in heavy equipment operation.

- Experience with commercial driving is preferred for transporting equipment and materials.

- Familiarity with construction site operations and best practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.

- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
