Forklift Operator/Laborer

Jet Pipe Industries Co., a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, is a one-stop shop for fire protection contractors. Jet Pipe is a full line distributor and fabricator for both commercial and residential fire protection systems. To serve as a multi-tasking laborer locating material, and moving material, by coordinating with numerous personnel and operating equipment in order to complete various construction projects.

Intermediate

- Assist craftsman in setting up work as required

- Operate, clean and perform daily visuals of equipment, locate and move material by coordinating with numerous personnel

- Assist in rigging up heavy loads to equipment

- Operate fixed-mast forklifts (Hyster and similar) and extendable-boom forklifts (Lull and similar).

- Gain accountability of materials in the laydown yard for location, staging and delivery

- Perform preservation and maintenance duties on assigned equipment.

Qualifications

- May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.

- Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.

- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.

- Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.

- Able to meet all physical requirements.

- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Able to work occasional overtime and weekends as required by the workload

- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
