GAS PLUMBER

We are looking for a Gas Plumber in Joplin, MO. Plumbers are responsible for safely installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes of utility construction projects. As a plumber, you will collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure company procedures are followed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures

- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies

- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems

- Follow building plans and blueprints

- Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates

- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used

- Collaborate with other construction professionals

- Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required

- Other related duties and projects assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-5 years field experience or Military equivalent

- Experience working in construction is a plus

- Valid driver’s license

- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade

- Familiar with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper

- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices

- Able to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings

- Proficient in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements

- Able to work effectively in a team environment

- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Independent worker with a strong work ethic

- The physical activity for this role includes:

- Travel as needed, might work extended hours

- Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods

- Walking on uneven ground

- Manual dexterity for use of small hand and power tools

- Repetitive motions like squatting, kneeling, reaching and lifting

- Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 80lbs.

- Working outside in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather

- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
