Location: Company based out of Canonsburg, PA Schedule: MondayFriday, 6:30 AM 4:30 PM (weather dependent) Reports To: Job Foreman & Field Supervisor
As a Forestry Technician with Growing Seasons Landscaping, youll help protect and restore our natural environments by removing invasive species, assisting with reforestation, and maintaining forested areas. This hands-on, outdoor position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, environmental conservation, and contributing to projects that make a visible impact.
Youll be part of a professional, safety-focused team that values hard work, reliability, and respect.
- Perform invasive species removal and assist with site mapping and documentation.
- Apply and record herbicide treatments following GSL and environmental guidelines.
- Participate in tree planting and reforestation projects.
- Maintain and clean tools, trucks, and field equipment daily.
- Assist with traffic control and safe work-zone setup and teardown.
- Conduct weed and brush control using trimmers, brush hogs, and chainsaws.
- Support other field operations as needed to meet project deadlines.
- College student, graduate, or experienced worker in a science-related field (Wildlife, Forestry, Biology, etc.)
- 18 years or older with a valid drivers license and clear background
- Ability to work safely and effectively in rugged outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of herbicide application (certification preferred but not required)
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a team
Safety is at the core of everything we do. All team members are required to always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
- Long-sleeve shirt and full-length pants
- Steel or composite-toe boots
- Eye, ear, and hand protection
Uniforms and PPE are provided by GSL. All employees must complete safety training and comply with DOT standards.
