- Organization, flexibility, outstanding customer focus and effective communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in daily safety meetings with subcontractors and clients.
- Participate in the daily toolbox talks and/or the Construction Manager’s morning meeting.
- Follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and practices.
- Adhere to all Company and industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure good housekeeping throughout site.
- Complete Safety Observation Cards (minimum of 1 per day).
- Verify all material deliveries, to include counts and signing Material Transfer Forms (MTFs).
- Follow proper safety procedures when using electrical testing and communications equipment.
- Develop and maintain a positive company image, both internally with fellow employees and with customers.
- Responsible for the upkeep of all company-issued tools and equipment.
- Oversight of field level electricians, apprentices, and laborers.
- Strong leadership skills and be able to lead a team.
- Maintain and submit complete and accurate files, logs, pictures, and reports as determined by the superintendent and/or Director.
- Work with the superintendent to provide a 1 week look ahead to ensure proper planning is occurring.
- Monitor Safety, Quality, and Efficiency of scheduled work for the day.
- Ensure crews have resources and all necessary materials to complete each task.
- Coordinate proper permits for daily/weekly work; Hot work permits, dig permits, etc.
- Mentor junior crew members.
- Provide material request to Electrical Superintendent.
- Ensure works meets all applicable codes, specifications, and is installed per plan set.
- Minimum 5 years of Electrical installation experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Electrical Supervision experience preferred.
- Solar Experience highly preferred.
- Journeyman electrician (License or verified experience)
- OSHA 30 certification
- Must be able to read construction drawings, diagrams, and develop a working plan for implementation of design.
- Demonstrated knowledge of connecting and installing AC and DC power supply systems.
- Experience completing Electrical Testing; IRT, Multi-Meter use, Fall of Potential, and Continuity
- Basic math skills and reading comprehension.
- Work requires the ability to read and understand written instructions to understand simple processes.
- Basic computer skills, able to use Microsoft Office products and company email.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Demonstrates competence necessary to perform the work.
- Work is performed both in an office and field environment.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Will be required to perform physical labor.
- Requires travel/overnight stays.
