Food Production Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Production Supervisor or Manager to oversee operations within our food processing plant. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with FDA regulations and maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality control throughout the production process. This role requires a strong understanding of food production and manufacturing processes, as well as the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Manage daily operations of the food processing plant, ensuring adherence to FDA regulations and company policies.

- Implement and monitor HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) plans to ensure food safety throughout the production process.

- Oversee sanitation practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees.

- Collaborate with production teams to optimize efficiency in food manufacturing and processing operations.

- Ensure compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards in all aspects of food production.

- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, addressing any mechanical issues promptly.

- Train staff on food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper handling of materials.

- Manage packaging processes to ensure products meet quality standards before distribution.

Skills

- In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations related to the food industry.

- Familiarity with HACCP principles and implementation strategies.

- Understanding of CGMP standards in food manufacturing environments.

- Strong background in food safety practices and protocols.

- Experience in food production processes within a manufacturing or processing plant setting.

- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively.

- Proficiency in sanitation methods applicable to food processing environments.

- Basic math skills for managing inventory and production metrics.
