Floorhand – Greenland Rotation (Travel from Canada Required)

About the Opportunity

We are currently hiring for multiple positions to support a new project in Greenland.

One of those roles is for an experienced Floorhand, this role is responsible to support daily drilling operations by assisting with tripping pipe, making connections, and maintaining a clean and organized drill floor.

This is a rotational, travel-based role is ideal for individuals experienced on a Canadian drilling rig along with remote camp exposure.

Successful candidates will depart from Canada and work on-site in Greenland for scheduled rotations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform assigned duties in a remote, Arctic work environment

- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and site protocols

- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors

- Maintain equipment and ensure job-site efficiency

- Adapt to changing weather and site conditions

- Tripping pipe and making connections

- Ensure that the drill floor is kept clean and orderly at all times

- Inspect tongs for wear - ensuring proper working order

- Inspect pipe spinner for proper working order

- Inspect rotary table

- Assist Derrickhand in mixing mud and chemicals

- Assist in maintenance and repair of machinery

- Assist in moving the rig, rigging up and rigging out

- Clean up and proper storage/placement of tools

- General upkeep of the rig including painting and cleaning as required

Requirements

- H2S Alive Certificate

- Fall Protection for Rig Work

- Standard First Aid

- Confined Space Entry and Rescue

- CSO

- Previous experience on a drilling rig

- Ability to work in remote, cold-weather environments

- Valid passport (required for international travel)

- Ability to pass pre-employment testing (drug, alcohol, medical)

- Relevant certifications/tickets based off each position (e.g., H2S, First Aid, etc.)

- Willingness to work rotational schedules
