Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fleet Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles and equipment. Duties
•Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including diesel engines, and farm machinery.
•Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively to ensure timely repairs.
•Conduct electrical system repairs and maintenance, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
•Weld components as needed to repair or fabricate parts for vehicles and equipment.
•Align wheels and other components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
•Assemble various parts and systems as required during the repair process.
•Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while handling equipment and parts.
•Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used for inventory management.
•Collaborate with other technicians to improve processes and enhance team efficiency.
Skills
•Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in diesel engine repair preferred.
•Proficiency in welding techniques for various materials.
•Familiarity with farm machinery operations and maintenance is a plus.
•Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
•Solid understanding of electrical systems related to fleet vehicles.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
