To help facilitate our expanding business, RMS Energy is currently seeking a Fleet Equipment Technician responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles and equipment used in a fleet. This typically includes a range of vehicles such as trucks, trailers and heavy equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly subject to various job site environments. The position demands physical mobility to navigate uneven surfaces, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, fine motor skills for handling small components and tools, and the capability to climb ladders and work at heights. Sustained physical effort, including standing, bending, pushing, digging, pulling, kneeling, crawling, and reaching for extended periods, is required. Good vision, including color vision and depth perception, and the ability to hear alarms and communicate in noisy environments are essential. Additionally, proficiency in speaking, hearing, reading, and typing in English is required for effective communication and documentation.
Travel requirements will make it necessary to drive a car (day and/or night) and at times fly in an airplane. This position has varying travel requirements consistent with job location, workload, and maximizing utilization. Travel demands can range up to 50%.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to perform keying functions, grasp, and pinch to write (2-5% of the workday). The employee will frequently (34-66% of the workday) be required to walk, stand, bend, squat/kneel, and climb. Occasionally (6-33% of the workday), the employee will be required to sit, twist/turn, reach out, lift/carry, and push and pull. The employee is required to frequently (34-66% of the workday) lift and carry up to 21-50 pounds and will occasionally (6-33% of the workday) be required to lift and carry 11 to 20 pounds.
