Job Overview
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Safety Coordinator to join our team. Successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within our organization. This role requires working closely with managerial staff to promote a safe and functional work environment.
Responsibilities
•Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
•Provide training and guidance to employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
•Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
•Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
•Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance activities as well as recording maintenance and repair tasks.
•Routine maintenance: Regularly inspect equipment and machinery to assess their condition, replace worn-out parts, and ensure they operate properly
•Cleaning: Clean facilities and equipment
•Supplies: Order necessary supplies and maintain inventory
•Proactivity: Identify and address issues before they get worse
Experience
•Strong knowledge of regulations and other relevant health and safety standards.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for conducting thorough investigations and audits.
•The ability to effectively train others and build relationships across various levels of the organization to promote a culture of safety.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
•Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry preferred.
•Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety are preferred.
•Experience using hand and electrical tools
•Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
•Mechanical experience would be considered an asset.
