The Gig (Why This Job Rules)
Tired of boring CAD monkey work? Ready to be the hero who makes impossible parts actually get made—on time, under budget, and without the shop floor rioting? We're hunting for a creative fixturing genius to join our high-octane team. You'll design killer workholding solutions for Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers that make complex parts sing, cut setup times like butter, and leave machinists saying, "How did they do that?!" If you love turning "that's impossible" into "nailed it," this is your playground.
What You'll Actually Do (The Fun Stuff)
- Fuel our next-level product launches by dreaming up fixtures that support epic growth (no pressure… okay, some pressure).
- Invent super-smart, wallet-friendly ways to machine and inspect wild, complex parts—no magic wands required (but creativity is mandatory).
- Design and/or hunt down epic tooling, gauges, and fixturing that make production go brrrrr.
- Slam out slick CAD models in NX like it's your favorite video game.
- Stay locked in with our quality system (because nobody likes surprise audits).
- Team up with the shop floor legends to slash setups, crank up processes, unleash new tech, tweak fixtures, run time studies, and generally make everyone's life easier.
- Help the estimating crew nail costs so we win bids without losing our shirts.
- Own full manufacturing process design—including APQP wizardry, fixture masterpieces, process prints, work instructions, tool picks, CNC program guidance, cost checks, and PPAP domination.
- Mastermind process changes like a pro—get 'em done smoothly and drama-free.
- Lead or jump into Lean events and continuous improvement kaizens (bonus points if you bring snacks).
- Debug those pesky prototype/pilot gremlins until everything runs like a dream.
- Jump into MRB action and invent clever rework paths that save the day (and parts).
Who We're Looking For (The Real Talk Requirements)
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or something impressively similar—preferred, but we'll geek out over your skills first.
- At least 5 years crushing it in Design Engineering (you've earned your battle scars).
- Serious chops in designing part-holding fixturing for Vertical AND Horizontal Machining Centers—we're talking "very strong" level, not "kinda okay."
- Deep machining street cred on VMCs, HMCs, and lathes. Bonus swagger if you've programmed CNCs yourself.
- Blueprint-reading ninja skills + solid grasp of inspection basics, GD&T mastery, and general quality voodoo.- Hands-on CAD/CAM experience—NX is our jam (preferred, but we'll train the right rockstar).
- Creative fixturing superpowers required—you make part processing look easy and elegant.
- G-Code knowledge? That's the cherry on top—preferred!
- You're a communication beast: part teacher, part diplomat, part bridge-builder between engineers, supervisors, production crew, sales, and estimating. No silos allowed!
- Killer problem-solving game—when things go sideways, you fix 'em with style.
- Management experience? Extra credit (you know how to herd cats… er, teams).
The Perks (Because Life's Too Short for Boring Benefits)
- Full benefits stack: health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO that actually gets used.
- A team that actually likes each other (we celebrate wins with brats and brews).
- Room to grow, innovate, and geek out on new tech in a manufacturing playground.
- The satisfaction of knowing your fixtures are the secret sauce behind parts that end up in planes, cars, tools, and who-knows-what-next.
If you're the kind of engineer who geeks out over a perfectly constrained fixture, laughs at machining memes, and wants to build stuff that matters—hit apply! Let's make some manufacturing magic together.
(We promise no soul-crushing micromanagement—just good people, challenging parts, and the occasional victory high-five.)
- 401(k)
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Tuition reimbursement
- Vision insurance
