About The Job
The Fixed Maintenance General Supervisor to lead fixed plant maintenance operations at our open-pit silver and gold mine near Lovelock, Nevada. This role is responsible for the maintenance and reliability of a three-stage crushing circuit, two Merrill-Crowe processing plants, a precious metals refinery, and a retort system. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and continuous improvement to optimize asset performance and ensure safe, reliable operation of critical fixed assets.
This position will require company-supported relocation to Northern Nevada to work on-site at Coeur Rochester near Lovelock, NV.
Responsibilities
•Supervise and coordinate fixed plant maintenance teams in the execution of safe and efficient work on all process equipment.
•Lead maintenance activities for:
•Three-stage crushing circuit (including gyratory, cone, and tertiary HPGR crushers)
•Two Merrill-Crowe plants (clarifiers, filter presses, deoxygenation towers, vacuum systems)
•Precious metals refinery and retort systems
•Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations and Coeur policies.
•Implement and support Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies to optimize preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance approaches.
•Collaborate with planners and reliability engineers to integrate RCM findings and optimize maintenance schedules and tasks.
•Use Oracle CMMS to manage work orders, maintenance planning, inventory, and asset performance data.
•Lead root cause failure analyses (RCFAs) and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
•Plan and supervise shutdowns, major repairs, and contractor work scopes with attention to safety, quality, and schedule.
•Train, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel to enhance team skills and performance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
•Trade certification (e.g., Millwright, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Electrician) or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
•Minimum 7–10 years of fixed plant maintenance experience in mining or similar heavy industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
•Crushing systems, including gyratory, cone, and HPGR crushers
•Merrill-Crowe processing operations
•Retorting and precious metals refining processes
•Hands-on experience with RCM principles and best practices in asset reliability and maintenance strategy development.
•Proficiency with Oracle CMMS for planning, execution, and tracking of maintenance activities.
•Strong leadership, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
•Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
•Willingness and ability to work in a challenging environment.
