- Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, portable fire extinguishers and fire hydrants .
- Conduct inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and building codes like OSHA , NFPA , MSHA & NIOSH .
- Perform system troubleshooting using hand tools and power tools to diagnose issues with fire alarm panels, sensors, or sprinkler controls.
- Engage in field service activities including system upgrades, repairs, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Document all service activities thoroughly through detailed reports and logs for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire protection systems.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for installation and repairs.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, sensors, low voltage wiring, and electrical principles including NEC standards.
- Experience with construction inspection processes ensuring adherence to safety codes and project specifications.
- Familiarity with fire sprinkler fitting techniques and system design principles.
- Excellent field service skills with a focus on troubleshooting complex issues efficiently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients .
