Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's goals. This role requires a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting, along with proficiency in financial software.

Responsibilities

- Manage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.

- Oversee the general ledger accounting process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning.

- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations and public accounting standards.

- Supervise payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.

- Conduct regular audits of financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.

- Prepare detailed reports for management on financial performance, variances, and trends.

Skills

- Proficiency in financial software such as Sage or similar applications.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including general ledger accounting.

- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- Familiarity with IFRS standards and governmental accounting regulations is preferred.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
