Financial Controller

We are a building materials manufacturer, we have 2 companies. one is in Phoenix doing approx $50m a year and one in las vegas doing $20M a year in revenue. Current controller is retiring and we would like to bring someone on soon so there is time to cross train. Manufacturing experience, with cost accounting is needed.

```Job Summary```

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Manufacturing experience is critical. must fully understand cost accounting.

```Duties```

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department

- Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to optimize financial performance

- Prepare financial reports to senior management and stakeholders

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards

- Supervise and mentor accounting staff

```Requirements```

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Proficient in financial report writing and analysis

- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
