Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Vice President, Exploration, and working closely with the Regional Finance Superintendents and the Exploration Directors in Canada, you will be part of the Exploration Department and collaborate with various Agnico Eagle projects across Canada. You will also work in collaboration with the global exploration divisions and the head office. You will ensure that objectives are met while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, the Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.
- Be responsible for consolidating the budget, quarterly forecasts, and scenario analyses;
- Consolidate and compile financial data from various divisions (Québec, Nunavut, Ontario, Head Office);
- Ensure, in collaboration with the relevant departments, that inyear changes are accurately reflected in the various financial planning exercises;
- Perform budget variance analysis;
- Maintain and develop internal tools to support departments in proactive cost management and performance indicators;
- Participate in the preparation of monthly operational reports and quarterly operational presentations;
- Produce financial analyses relevant to understanding operational results;
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the financial planning system (Hyperion);
- Collaborate with the regional finance teams on month-end and quarter-end deliverables, including preparing journal entries and analyses;
- Perform all other related duties.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting;
- Membership or eligibility for membership in a recognized professional accounting association in Québec (CPA) is considered an asset;
- Three (3) years of relevant experience;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ease in teamwork;
- Excellent command of the Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Power BI is considered an asset;
- Demonstrated autonomy, strong priority and stress management skills;
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality;
- Bilingual in French and English.
- The employee works fulltime on a 5/2 (8h) or 5/2–4/3 (9h) daytime schedule.
- The position is based at the Malartic or Vald’Or regional exploration office. Occasional travel is required.
