Job Summary

We are seeking a Field Specialist for our Liner Hangers product line in Williston, ND. This role is responsible for providing installation, repair, and routine servicing of remedial service packers, completion tools, liner hangers, and other rental equipment both in the shop and in the field. The position also supports business growth by promoting Weatherford products and services.

As a Field Specialist, you will work independently on complex projects, apply advanced techniques, and act as a technical advisor to management and junior specialists. This is a demanding, hands-on role that leverages the latest technologies to deliver solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

- Provide onsite services to customers for installation and maintenance of liner hanger and completion tools.

- Perform maintenance and repairs on company-owned and rental equipment in the field.

- Assist in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment for optimal performance.

- Monitor and report drilling and work-over rig activity.

- Complete accurate and timely job reports.

- Support shop operations and make deliveries when required.

- Maintain 24-hour on-call availability as needed.

- Participate in JHA, tailgate, and safety meetings for ongoing operations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field.

- Ensure compliance with Weatherford Quality Policy, safety rules, and company procedures.

- Perform additional duties as assigned within job constraints.

Qualifications

- Experience: 3–4 years of related field experience.

- Education: High School diploma/GED required; 2-year college degree preferred.

- Product Knowledge: General knowledge of liner hangers and completion downhole tools.

- Mechanical Ability: Strong aptitude for equipment repair and maintenance.

- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required.

- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, strong communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and work effectively in a team environment
