SUMMARY: The Field Service Technicians are a critical component to our service to our customers. They are responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting finished systems at customer locations across the United States. This position is a non-exempt, full-time position based out of the Freeport, Pennsylvania corporate office.
- Perform installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of Sloan Lubrication Systems' equipment at customer locations following instructions from a manager or job team leader.
- Bend and install small-diameter stainless-steel tubing to connect lubrication systems to customer equipment according to job schematics and job scope, using established techniques and in accordance with guidelines for system optimization, efficiency, and aesthetics following instructions from a manager or job team leader.
- Collaborate with customer and company resources to quickly address system issues in order to meet required functionality and deadlines.
- Assist with analyzing and diagnosing system and component failures; propose innovative solutions.
- Complete assignments with a high level of quality, to specifications, and on time.
- Successfully utilize software applications and other computer skills as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities, including Microsoft applications, email, internet, company specific applications and online navigation.
- Submit accurate and detailed expense reports, timesheets, and other required documentation by specified deadlines.
- Maintain possession and control of all company tools and equipment in-house and at customer locations.
- Travel away from home 50% to 80% as needed, by company vehicle or by air, including nights, weekends, and possible holidays, sometimes on short notice. Overnight trips can be from several days to several weeks in duration.
- Maintain necessary training and safety certifications and industry compliance requirements.
- Basic understanding of function, manufacturing, assembling, testing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment.
- Basic understanding of natural gas compressors is a plus
- General ability in fabrication, welding, lubrication system installation, tube bending, machinery operation, and quality inspection.
- Basic understanding industrial controls and wiring are a plus.
- Proficient in the use of various hand tools.
- Proven ability to perform basic math skills including calculations involving fractions and decimals.
- Proven ability to read, understand, and interpret job orders, schematics, instructions, specifications, and work processes.
- Proven ability to work effectively with team members, company, and customer representatives.
- Proven basic computer skills utilizing software applications and other computer skills as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities, including Microsoft applications, email, internet, and online navigation.
- Exhibit high level of integrity, honesty, and desire to do the right thing for the company and customers.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Physical Tasks: 10- to 12-hour days, standing/working most of the day, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, traversing industrial stairs, walkways, and ladders. Frequently lifting more than 50 pounds, occasionally lifting more than 100 pounds. Extensive use of power tools, hand tools, and hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical equipment and tools. Required good manual dexterity to execute precise work with hands, sometimes in tight spaces.
Will often need to perform physically demanding tasks in various environments (hot, cold, noisy, low lighting)
- Must demonstrate physical capabilities by passing a physical examination and a job simulation evaluation to confirm the physical, visual, and audio competencies required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job after accepting an offer of employment and before being assigned to work at a customer site.

Base comp, OT eligible along with additional pay structure for field work.
