Field Service Technician

Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role of the Field Service Technician includes, but is not limited to, operating a field service truck to complete day-to-day field onsite services, on site repairs, mobilizing and demobilizing of equipment.

We seek a candidate who is safety focused and quality driven.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

· Mobilization and Demobilization of Rental Equipment

· Servicing and Repairing of Rental Equipment

· Swamping on Picker and Bed Trucks

· On Call 24 / 7 , with exception to booked time off. We do respect everyone’s time off.

· Perform the maintenance and installation of rental packages as required, and also supervise if designated to do so.

· Ability to haul a wide range of trailers with electric and hydraulic brake applications.

- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections.

- Troubleshoot machinery / equipment malfunctions using high attention to detail and experience to solution the problem.

- Collaborate with Operations Manager on repair strategies.

- Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential internal and external customers.

- All work is to be performed in a safe manner and in accordance with the company and customer HSE policies.

- Willing to work at the shop and yard to help with repairs as needed.

Qualifications

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Minimum 1 year field service work experience.

- Valid class 5 driver’s license with the ability and willingness to drive long distances.

- Have a mechanical aptitude with the willingness to learn.

- Basic Plumbing Knowledge, minor repairs and troubleshooting.

- Basic Carpentry Skills, minor repairs.

- Basic 12V electrical knowledge.

- House hold HVAC knowledge.

- Basic 120V electrical knowledge.

- Clean drivers abstract must be provided at time of hire.

- Ability to adhere to pre-employment and customer specific D & A policies.
