We are seeking an experienced Field Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton Alberta. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our operations by ensuring efficient coordination of field service activities. Your contributions will directly support our mission to deliver exceptional control solutions to our clients.
This dual-role position plays a key role in ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining compliance with internal safety standards and regulatory requirements. This position will assist management in organizing and dispatching technicians within Canada with primary focus in Western Canada
- Work with project managers to plan and manage daily and weekly schedules for field service technicians based on job priority, location, and tech availability.
- Track work tasks assigned and their completion.
- Serve as the point of contact between customers, field teams, and internal departments to ensure accurate communication of job details.
- Ensure proper safety orientations and certifications are aligned with customer requirements for gaining site access for onsite work.
- Monitor job status and technician progress throughout the job; make real-time adjustments to the schedule as needed.
- Monitor onsite technician onsite hours and track vs project budget, create reports as needed.
- Ensure that all necessary equipment, and materials are available and assigned for each job.
- Maintain accurate records in scheduling software or work order management systems
- Assist with reporting and performance tracking related to scheduling efficiency and technician productivity.
- Track project timesheets, materials, documents. Collect and assist in creating invoice to customers work performed.
- Use of customer owned and 3rd party web based safety portals to arrange tech and vehicle access to sites as required.
- Track completion of safety training and certifications for all field personnel.
- Support incident reporting and documentation, including follow-up actions and corrective measures.
- Assist Safety Manager in administrative duties as needed.
- Promote a strong safety culture through communication, reminders, and participation in safety initiatives.
- Qualifications:
- Associate degree or related coursework required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in dispatching, scheduling, or field service coordination.
- High level of understanding of workplace safety practices (OHS experience or safety certification is a plus).
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Experience in customer safety related web portals like ISN, Complyworx, Avetta etc.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of project and job costing, invoicing and parts reconciliation
- Understanding of services related to generators, industrial control systems, engines, pumps etc. would be an asset.
- Previous experience dealing with industrial based customers.
