Job Summary
Our expanding company within the industrial valves, instrumentation, and service industry is looking for a Field Sales Representative to oversee outside sales for industrial chemical, power, oil and gas markets within the state of Nevada, or Southern Arizona.
Duties & Responsibilities

•Drive to all customer locations for site visits
•Attend company required training(s) and expands one’s knowledgebase and skillset
•Remains an optimistic, highly motivated, and success-driven

•Develop and maintain a territory sales plan that focuses on key accounts
•Increase market share of our service products
•Profile and penetrate key accounts by developing strategic goals and relationships
•Complete demonstrations highlighting the unique features and benefits of products
•Identify and sell into new and existing process applications
•Effectively utilize sales resources including demo equipment, presentations, and joint sales calls
•Scheule visits to customers and potential customers, “all customers” hereinafter
•Follow up on all customer emails and phone calls within 24 hours. Time is of the essence!
•Reach out to your direct supervisor for questions and needed expertise
•Proficiently know the functionality and details of all valves, instrumentation, and services the company offers
•Build relationships with all customers, understand their service needs, and offer applicable instruments and services which may be of interest to them
•Hold regular meetings with your direct supervisor, always staying in communication
•Increase sales and profit margins for your accounts
•Meet all sales goals set by your direct supervisor
•Open new customer accounts on a monthly basis
•Always maintain professionalism
•Maintain quality of work, self-sufficient, and accountable
•Coachable, and eager to learn new things
Job Status & Work Schedule
•Workdays are Monday – Friday during normal business hours, and as needed
•Full-time. Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, and as needed
Work Location & Travel Requirements
•Must travel to the California office periodically throughout the year as-needed/ as-requested by your direct supervisor
•Mixed work location requirements. Approximately 75% over the road visiting all customers, and 25% of time working at-home in office
•Approximately 25% of overnight travel is required per month
Education & Experience
•5 years’ experience in technical sales and/or technical knowledge of valves and instruments preferred; OR, Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering with 0 years’ experience required
•Fully developed tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing all customers), required
•Excellent time and territory management skills, required
•Must have a current legal driver’s license, as well as maintain a clean driving record meeting both the company’s and DOT’s standards
•Previous experience with pressure relief devices, control valves, and instrumentation, highly preferred
•Proven track record in territory sales growth and experience in
process industries, preferred
Abilities & Physical Requirements
•Strong communication and presentation skills, required
•Ability to read, write, type on a computer and phone
•Must be able to complete basic math
•Must be able to comprehend the company’s and instruments and service processes
•Diverse body postures. For at least 8 hours per day must be able to sit at a computer desk or drive a vehicle, stand/ walk, and complete a mixture of those body mechanics as needed for job tasks listed in Duties & Responsibilities
•Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on an infrequent basis
•Must be able to safely operate a vehicle
