What You'll Do:
In this hybrid role, you'll spend your days both installing and maintaining AMGAS equipment and identifying new sales opportunities. You will work directly with clients in the field, providing solutions that make a real impact on their operations.
Field Technician & Shop Duties:
•Perform on-site installations, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment and systems.
•Safely transport equipment to client field sites and install at locations designated by clients.
•Assess job scope and client needs to recommend effective solutions.
•Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment usage and best practices.
•Conduct routine inspections and accurately document service activities.
•Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
•Complete service tickets with client sign-off and maintain accurate field records.
•Maintain vehicle and equipment, perform regular maintenance as required.
•Assist with shop inventory, material purchasing and workflow efficiency.
•Participate in after-hours and on-call rotations as needed.
Sales & Customer Relations Duties:
•Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
•Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities during service interactions.
•Deliver product demonstrations and articulate value and ROI to clients.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AMGAS products and services.
•Prepare quotes and follow through to close sales.
•Track and report on sales activity and pipeline development.
Education & Experience:
•WHMIS, H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR, Confined Spaces Entry certifications
•Specialized coursework or certifications in Business, Oil & Gas Operations, Well Servicing or Sales Strategy.
•3+ years of hands-on field experience in Oil and Gas industry under demanding conditions.
•Prior sales experience and CRM (e.g., Salesforce) proficiency.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attitudes:
•Understanding of dangerous goods transport and cargo securement.
•Familiarity with field safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of AMGAS equipment.
•Ability to explain technical specifications and value propositions to clients.
•Self-directed with strong time management and organizational skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
•Demonstrated ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into customer value.
•Willingness to travel regionally and work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.
•Customer-service orientation with a solution-focused mindset.
•Prior experience in sales and customer engagement.
•Valid driver’s license and willingness travel locally or regionally.
•Experience in B2B sales within the oil and gas service sector and successfully sold equipment and solutions to operators.
