Generator Source is seeking elite, senior-level Generator Field Service Technicians with 10 or more years of hands-on experience working on commercial and industrial standby power systems. This role is for technicians who can independently diagnose, repair, and overhaul major diesel engines and complex electrical systems across all generator brands.

- Stable, well-established company with 40+ years in the industryCandidates must have a minimum of 10 years of direct, hands-on experience with industrial/commercial generators, including:
- Advanced engine diagnostics and major engine repairs on Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, Generac, Detroit Diesel, MTU, John Deere, etc.
- Rebuilds, top-end/bottom-end work, cooling systems, fuel systems, and turbocharger work
- Troubleshooting and repair of complex electrical and control systems
- ATS troubleshooting, repair, programming, and commissioning
- Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and OEM service manuals
- Confident working independently in the field
- OEM Training & Factory Certifications
- EGSA Certification (highly preferred)
- Experience mentoring/junior techs a plus
- Diagnose and perform major engine repairs (injectors, turbos, sensors, pumps, cooling systems, electrical harness issues)
- Program and service ATS systems across multiple platforms
- Conduct generator inspections, start-ups, and load bank testing
- Solve complex field problems with minimal supervision
- Provide high-level customer service and represent the company professionally
- Complete digital documentation thoroughly and on time
- Participate in the on-call rotation as required
- Regular physical work around heavy industrial equipment
- Lifting/carrying 20–75 lbs
- Frequent climbing, kneeling, crawling, and working in tight spaces
- Must be able to wear full PPE at all times
- Up to 10 hours of driving, with potential long/unpredictable hours
