Fiber Optic Technician

We are looking to hire Fiber Optic Technician proficient in troubleshooting and testing of various types of fiber optic systems. Technician will also assist in our cored product installations of downhole instrumentation equipment (gauges, capillary tubing), spooling and banding capillary tubing utilized on artificial lift systems.

Applicant Qualifications:

- Troubleshooting and testing fibers (SM, MM)

- Measure signal strength, diagnose issues (OTDR)

- Installation, running and laying fiber optic cables in diverse locations

- Maintenance and repair (identifying and fixing faults, splicing)

- CFOT is a plus

- Safety-conscious

- Willing to work in a service-oriented industry.

- Availability to travel outside of state and to work outside of normal business hours (i.e. shift work, nights, weekends as needed)

- Organizational skills

- Good physical condition

- Comfortable when working in a group setting (works on a crew of 2-4)

- Willing to take direction from onsite supervisor
