The Facilities Manager is responsible for leading the facilities teams across 24/7 and in a 4-shift system. This position is responsible for leading, organizing, coaching, and planning all aspects of Facility maintenance, design, and continuous improvement of related key performance measures. The Facilities manager oversees all facility service contracts including security, janitorial, contractual maintenance, and project work.
- Interface and coordinate with other departments to ensure high customer satisfaction and efficient cost-effective facility operations.
- Manage the development, execution, and improvement of maintenance plans for plant utilities and facilities equipment such as compressed air system (CDA), chillers, HVAC, Cleanroom, Water and Wastewater treatment, Fire & Life Safety, Compressors, Boilers, Grounds, Buildings, and Process Gases.
- Responsible for the management of services, operation and business processes which involves both strategic planning and day-to-day operations for Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing departments.
- Plan, coordinate, organize and lead the campus site services operation of Facilities, to ensure that the systems are in compliance to all internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Accountable to ensure all operations of the site services meet the company’s objectives and goals at all times and strive to enhance the capabilities of performance while focusing on improving operation efficiency.
- Plan and manage all aspects of facilities and grounds maintenance repairs for the plant and property to ensure 100% uptime.
- Lead the facilities/site services team to operate and maintain building facilities to meet all internal specifications and external requirements, which include standards by certifications.
- Ensure full compliance with the site Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice procedures.
- Plan and deliver and support equipment qualification for startup, continuous operation, and shutdown. Continuously improve procedures and standards for improved results.
- Lead the department by setting standards and improving systems for best results
- Implement a continuous improvement plan to calibrate, monitor, and control process parameters to deliver accurate and reliable specifications such as flow, temperature, pressure, humidity, speed, water quality, etc.
- Support and develop standards of operation including improved maintenance procedures for maximum and safe uptime.
- Solve problems and set new and improved standards by participating in kaizen type events.
- Execute assigned tasks as defined by Engineering and/or Facilities Engineering
- Set a plan, organize, and coach to deliver work order management standards and ensure no backlog. Every work order must start with a quick risk prediction where safety is integrated before executing work.
- Ideally a bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in related field with more than 10 years work experience within the manufacturing industry.- Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Cleanroom workplace experience such as in the Semiconductor industry
- Good understanding of facility systems including CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management)
- Troubleshooting remotely and on the job within a 24/7 environment
- Ability to read drawings and manage permitting of infrastructure
