SUMMARY
The Facilities Specialist is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of all company facilities to ensure safe, clean, and operational work environments for employees and visitors. This role supports both Midland-based and company-wide locations, maintaining high facility standards that reflect positively on Imperative Chemical Partners’ reputation. The Facilities Specialist will perform hands-on work and coordinate with vendors across a wide range of facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Midland Facilities Maintenance (Approx. 65%)
•Conduct regular inspections of all Midland-based facilities and grounds to proactively identify and address maintenance needs.
•Perform hands-on repairs or maintenance across multiple trades.
•Ensure facility conditions meet safety and operational standards.
•Oversee and coordinate third-party vendors and contractors for specialized tasks.
•Program and maintain access control systems, including key cards and smart locks.
Non-Midland Facilities Support (Approx. 20%)
•Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and vendor work for all non-Midland facilities.
•Communicate with stakeholders regarding progress and timelines.
•Travel to each location at least twice per year to complete facility audits, assist with clean-up or improvement projects, and address deferred maintenance.
•Maintain a central log or database of facility information (site contacts, vendor lists, floor plans, etc.).
Administrative & Support Duties (Approx. 15%)
•Supervise the Janitor role and provide coverage during absences.
•Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment; order as needed.
•Respond to facility support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
•Track work performed and maintain accurate records.
•Review vendor and contractor invoices for accuracy.
•Participate in job-related training or professional development as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•High school diploma or GED
•Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
•General knowledge of building trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
•Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
•Proactive problem-solving skills
•Ability to communicate effectively and manage time and priorities
•Must wear company-provided uniform and required PPE while on duty
•Eligible for annual reimbursement for work boots, per company policy
•Will be provided with a company vehicle and tools; must maintain cleanliness and proper function
•Responsible for safeguarding access tools (keys, codes, combinations)
•Expected to take full ownership of facility conditions, especially in Midland, and act proactively to maintain high standards
