Precision Industrial Manufacturing Inc. is hiring a Full-Time Fabrication Shop Steel Welder for immediate placement.
POSITION SUMMARY:
PIC Fabrication Shop has immediate openings for experienced Welders/Fabricators to join our team. We are seeking a dedicated individual who thrives on challenges and consistently exceeds customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience with FCAW and GMAW welding processes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Must be certified or able to pass the FCAW weld test in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards.
•Minimum of 3-6 years of hands-on experience as a welder in a structural shop environment.
•Proficient in interpreting blueprints and understanding weld symbols.
•Knowledgeable in crane operations, rigging of structural steel, and related equipment handling.
•Familiar with the craftsmanship standards outlined in AWS D1.1.
•Additional proficiency in welding processes such as GTAW and SMAW is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
•Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions, such as fixtures, and establish the sequence of operations.
•Operate safety equipment and adhere to safe work practices.
•Plan the sequence of operations, considering the effects of heat, weld shrinkage, machining, and metal thickness.
•Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, tacking, and welding using prescribed fixtures and proper work procedures.
•Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, including welding machines, grinders, and other equipment.
•Remove excess weld, slag, or spatter by chipping or grinding using hand scrapers or portable grinders.
•Mark or tag materials with appropriate job numbers, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
•Inspect workpieces for defects and measure them to ensure compliance with specifications.
•Lift, pull, push, and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
•Move parts into position manually or with hoists or cranes.
•Possess manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform required tasks.
•Meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and squatting.
