Fabricator / Welder – Build, Improve, and Take Ownership

Newport Industries, LLC – West Branch, IA Full-Time | $24–$32/hr (based on experience and skill level)

What This Role Looks Like

This is a hands-on fabrication role where you won’t be stuck doing the same thing every day.

Depending on the job, you may be:

- Welding (MIG/TIG/Laser – steel, stainless, aluminum)

- Fitting and assembling parts

- Operating press brakes and lasers (experience is a plus, willingness to learn is key)

- Grinding, finishing, and preparing parts for final use

We build real parts and assemblies—not just single operations.

- Fabricator I – Can follow prints and complete basic work

- Fabricator II – Works independently with solid quality and consistency

- Senior Fabricator – Solves problems, improves jobs, helps others

- Lead Fabricator – Trains, sets standards, and owns quality and flow

Skills & Experience

Ideal Experience:

- MIG welding (TIG is a plus)

- Ability to read prints and work from drawings

- General fabrication and fit-up experience

Bonus Points:

- Press brake or laser experience

- Experience building assemblies (not just welding parts)

- Ability to troubleshoot or improve jobs
