Job Description

Position Summary:

As the Fabrication Supervisor, you will coordinate all production activities and ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely and efficiently. This will ensure that quality products are produced and delivered accordingly and cost-efficiently.

Minimum Starting Salary: $70,000.00 - depending on education/experience

- Oversee and lead employees in safe equipment operations and instill a culture of zero accidents each day.

- Document and investigate incidents to continuously improve our safety performance.

- Focus on issues and errors and take the lead in eliminating root causes.

- Conduct team meetings focusing on safety, production planning and company policies and procedures.

- Provide daily assignments with expectations and follow up on assignments. Providing feedback/coaching to meet safety, quality, and production requirements.

- Use judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding the sequence of set-ups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Knowledge of all aspects of the associated technical disciplines.

- Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Applications.

- Knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane, solid geometry, and trigonometry.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural fabrication drawings.

- Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire team members.

- Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to change.

- Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent

- Four or more years of steel fabrication experience or experience within a related industry.

- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.

- Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
