Exploration Geologist

Overview:

Artemis Gold is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with a strong financial capacity aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining-friendly jurisdictions. The Company's current focus is the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, the Exploration Geologist is responsible for coordinating and supervising activities related to the modeling and examination of geological data or processes. Ensures operating guidelines are followed. Institutes procedures, practices, and techniques in the geology functions.

Location: Blackwater Mine site

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract

Responsibilities:

- Plan, supervise, and execute exploration programs, including mapping, sampling, trenching, and drilling.

- Collect, analyze, and interpret geological data to support resource modeling and project evaluation.

- Ensure accurate data collection, entry, and management in GIS and database systems.

- Collaborate with senior geologists and technical teams to identify new targets and advance exploration strategies.

- Prepare technical reports, cross sections, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensure all exploration activities are carried out safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field (Master’s degree an asset).

- 3+ years of exploration geology experience, preferably in gold or precious metals.

- Strong field experience in mapping, core logging, and sampling.

- Proficiency in GIS, 3D modeling, and geological software (Leapfrog, Surpac, etc.).

- Ability to work independently in remote field conditions and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Strong communication and report-writing skills.

- Commitment to safety and environmental best practices.

- Valid Class 5 drivers license.

Preferred Skills:

- Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation

- Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team

- Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift

- Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift

- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

- Knowledgeable in data management and geological and resource estimation tools.

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team effort as well as individually.

- Strong interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills.
