Experienced Solar Installer

Overview

Mississippi Solar, LLC has an immediate opening for an experienced solar installer/technician to join our growing team. Mississippi Solar, LLC has been in business since 2009 and is located in Eupora, MS. Relocation to the general area will be required before starting work.

You’ll need a MINIMUM of three years of experience installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting various solar and ESS platforms. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of AC and DC voltage, the ability to read plans, blueprints, and manufacturers’ manuals in order to execute installations properly, the ability to lead a team to efficiently complete assigned work, the ability to troubleshoot electrical and other problems associated with solar and ESS installations, and a desire to learn and grow. NABCEP certification is highly desired. Some overnight travel will be required.

THIS IS NOT A PER DIEM POSITION The company pays for all travel, meals, and lodging when working remotely.

Duties

- Install, maintain, and repair solar panel systems on rooftops, ground, or other structures

- Use tools such as voltmeters and hand tools to test and troubleshoot solar panel systems

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and NEC codes for solar panel installations

- Operate forklifts for moving materials on construction sites

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while working on high voltage systems

Qualifications

- 3 years minimum experience installing and troubleshooting various inverter and ESS platforms

- NABCEP certification preferred

- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and NEC codes

- Ability to work with high voltage systems safely

- Proficiency in using hand tools and operating job site equipment, i.e. skid steer, forklift, etc.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Willingness to work on construction sites in various weather conditions

- Experience leading a team to complete assigned work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
