General job description: This position is a perfect launchpad for your career in the trades or a strategic move for those with electrical or mechanical experience looking to enter the thriving solar industry. As a key member of a small, hands-on team, you will master every phase of a solar project. You will learn and perform all aspects of the installation process, from initial site setup and system commissioning to the final cleanup, gaining comprehensive experience with solar panels, racking, inverters, and wiring.

Responsibilities:

- Install solar panels, racking systems, and related equipment on various residential and commercial properties, including roof and ground-mounted systems. Your work will cover the entire process, from job layout and site preparation to the physical mounting of all components.

- Follow blueprints and instructions to correctly mount equipment on customer’s houses making sure that rails and panels are placed to the correct measurements

- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain constant awareness of your surroundings and potential hazards to protect yourself and your team. Follow instructions from your crew lead and solar manager.

- Respect the customer’s property and ensure the worksite is left spotless and professional upon project completion. All work must meet Energy Select’s quality expectations, and you will maintain a courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, addressing any questions they may have.

General Requirements:

The ability to safely and comfortably lift over 50 lbs, including while working at heights on a rooftop.

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to access job sites throughout our Southern Maryland service area, which includes St. Mary’s, Charles, Calvert, Prince George's, and Anne Arundel counties.

Compensation & Benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
