Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. As a Solar Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively at heights. The ideal candidate will have experience with various installation techniques and a passion for renewable energy.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.

- Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops or ground-mounted systems.

- Perform electrical work including wiring, fixture installation, and connection to existing electrical systems.

- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installations.

- Conduct site assessments to ensure proper installation locations and compliance with local codes.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high-quality standards.

- Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines during all installations to ensure safety and compliance.

- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process, including high voltage concerns.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the project duration.

Requirements

- Proven experience in solar installation or related fields such as electrical or commercial electrician work is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and understanding of electrical systems is essential.

- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to solar installations is highly desirable.

- Ability to work at heights safely, including on roofs, while adhering to safety protocols.

- Proficiency in using voltmeters and other testing equipment to ensure proper system functionality.

- Experience with plumbing techniques may be beneficial for certain installation scenarios.

- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $24.39 - $29.37 per hour
