Position Summary
The Commercial Construction Project Manager and Estimator is responsible for overseeing the planning, management, and execution of work for assigned construction projects.
Qualifications and Skills
•Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
•Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in Project Management Software.
•In-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes.
•Understanding of contractual language and concepts, insurance and managing risk and liability.
•Working knowledge of estimating concepts to verify bids, understand market rates, and process change orders.
•Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, vendors, and community stakeholders.
•Must have an approved driving record, valid driver’s license, and meet insurability standards.
•Must have an approved background check.
•Must maintain a substance-free working environment.

Role and Responsibilities
•Collaboratively initiate and support projects in coordination with the superintendent, project engineer, and accounting team members. ·
•Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Compile accurate budgets and cost estimates. Prepare comprehensive financial projections for effective project planning.
•Project Management Planning: Develop and update the construction project management plan in collaboration with clients, superintendents, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Facilitate preconstruction, design, and construction meetings.
•Progress Monitoring: Supervise and monitor the progress of construction projects. Provide regular reports on timelines, progress, and necessary adjustments to stakeholders.
•Project Scheduling: Collaborate with the project superintendent to establish and maintain a comprehensive project schedule. Ensure timely project completion as requested by the client.
•Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and local and state regulations. ·
•Quality Assurance: Oversee project execution to ensure projects meet the high-quality standards upheld by Kaufman Commercial.
•Cost Oversight and Reporting: Monitor cost control, job costing, and project phasing to facilitate financial reporting and meet historical accuracy requirements.
•Client Pay Requests: Prepare, distribute, and collect client pay requests for assigned projects, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
•Contract Management: Prepare client contracts and project subcontracts, ensuring clear terms and effective communication. Facilitate client negotiations, as necessary.
•Project Closeout: Compile and distribute as-built drawings and final closeout documents to stakeholders.
•Project Execution Support: Perform necessary tasks and duties related to successful project execution, ensuring smooth project operations.
