Description:
Summary
The Estimator has responsibility for analyzing and estimating the cost and time requirements of construction projects outlined in the bid documents.
Essential Functions

•Reviews pricing documents and prepares a plan to submit within the allotted time
•Prepare trade scopes of work and take-off material quantities
•Prepares budgetary estimates
•Attends preconstruction and pre-bid meetings as required
•Visits the site during the budgeting/estimating duration
•Solicits pricing from qualified vendors and subcontractors
•Reviews estimates with Executive Vice President
•Reviews estimates with clients
•Drafts subcontracts and purchase orders
•Maintains cost data information for future estimating
•Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors
•Works with Project Management team to resolve scope issues and to prepare large change orders

Requirements:
Competencies
•Knowledge of Building Construction
•Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Processing Systems
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
•Familiarity with Sage Timberline Project Management Software
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work independently, follow through on assignment with minimal direction and set priorities, which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and to perform under deadlines with frequent interruptions
•Minimum of 5 years construction estimating desired
