We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. This is a critical role that supports planning, bidding, and executing custom metal fabrication projects. If you’re passionate about precision, have experience in estimating, and enjoy working with both people and numbers, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
•
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to create accurate labor, time, and cost estimates.
•
Prepare and manage itemized materials and labor requirements.
•
Support project planning, scheduling, bidding, and vendor selection with reliable cost data.
•
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve questions and finalize bids.
•
Maintain a centralized cost database and continuously improve estimating procedures.
•
Visit customer sites to measure, consult, and assess job requirements (some travel required).
•
Analyze project results to refine future estimates and contribute to process improvements.
•
Create and present customer quotes using estimation software and spreadsheets.
What We’re Looking For:
•
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•
2+ years of relevant estimating experience, preferably in metal fabrication or construction.
•
Strong understanding of technical drawings, trade specs, and job costing.
•
Proficiency with estimation software, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
•
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
•
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, apply geometry/algebra, and use precision measuring tools.
•
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.
