Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction management practices. The Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Duties

•

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.

•

Send out bid requests utilizing Buildertrend software.

•

Utilize Buildertrend software to organize data, store bids, prepare estimates, and issue purchase orders.

•

Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for estimating purposes.

•

Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.

•

Prepare comprehensive bid proposals.

•

Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to financial goals.

•

Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve favorable terms for the company.

•

Price client change orders.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.

•

Strong knowledge of cost control methods and practices within the construction industry.

•

Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.

•

Proficient in using estimating software, particularly Buildertrend, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

•

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and budgeting processes.

•

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to negotiate effectively.

•

A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
