A Structural Steel fabrication company local to you in CT is seeking an experienced candidate for an in-house Project Manager/Estimator/Inside Sales role...The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing cost estimates for a variety of structural steel projects, including residential and commercial buildings, manage projects and inside sales. We are seeking a person who works well with others and can multitask. This role requires a strong understanding of structural steel fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

•

Assist with Inside/phone Sales

•

Material Ordering & tracking job material

•

Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other contract documents to determine scope of work and material requirements.

•

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel fabrication, erection, and related services.

•

Develop detailed quantity take-offs for steel members, connections, and other materials.

•

Obtain vendor quotations for various project components (e.g., detailing & galvanizing).

•

Maintain organized and detailed records of all estimate documentation, including drawings, specifications, and pricing.

•

Collaborate effectively with project managers, detailers to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions.

Requirements

•

Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in construction and or structural steel estimating.

•

Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural and architectural blueprints and specifications.

•

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. Familiarity with estimating software (Microsoft Excel & Word, Outlook), ProCore, Blue Beam, Plan Swift helpful.

•

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

•

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

•

[Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering, Construction Management, or Drafting.]
