Job Summary:

The Project Estimator at Strike Operating Company plays a critical role in the planning and execution of competitive and budgetary related to downstream and midstream facilities construction. This role involves producing detailed cost estimates that support the strategic goals of the company and ensure project profitability. The ideal candidate has experience in facilities construction and a solid understanding of project scope, risk assessment, and cost control within the energy infrastructure sector.

Primary Responsibilities:

•

Develop comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for midstream and downstream facility construction projects using approved company methodologies and software tools.

•

Analyze client RFQs, drawings, and field data to prepare accurate cost breakdowns for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.

•

Attend pre-bid meetings, job walks, and site visits to gather technical details and logistical insights.

•

Provide detailed estimate documentation, justifying crew sizes, durations, and construction approaches.

•

Collaborate with Estimating Team, Project Managers and/or Construction personnel to assess project execution strategies and identify cost-saving alternatives.

•

Maintain and update historical cost databases, bid templates, and estimation tools (Hard Dollar, Excel, etc.).

•

Support project teams during transitions from estimating to execution by clarifying scope and assumptions.

•

Assist in drafting layout drawings, technical reports, and cost presentations.

•

Communicate regularly with internal departments to gather input and ensure alignment in estimate deliverables.

Required Experience:

•

Minimum of 2 years in cost estimating or project management of compressor, metering and pump stations, production, treatment, process and/or refining facilities.

•

Hands-on field experience in construction of compressor, metering and pump stations, production, treatment, process and/or refining facilities is preferred.

•

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Project, Primavera (P6), Hard Dollar, and other estimating tools.

•

Familiarity with cost modeling, contract negotiation, and subcontractor coordination.

Education & Training:

•

High School Diploma or GED

•

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred.

Working Conditions:

•

Regular business hours, with availability outside of hours as needed.

•

Office and field environments; exposure to construction noise and outdoor weather elements.

•

Occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs.), walking on uneven terrain, and safely navigating around existing infrastructure.
