Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team specializing in filtration systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the development of comprehensive cost estimates for projects of varying scope and complexity, based on client specifications, drawings, and bid documents.

This role requires the ability to evaluate technical documents, develop conceptual and total bid pricing, and produce accurate and competitive estimates. The Estimator will work closely with engineering, sales, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment across all phases of project development and execution.

Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients to support timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Duties:

· Reviews and evaluates requests for estimates on filtration systems, tube filters and pressure leaf filters

· Provide accurate cost estimates; including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for each filtration project

· Works with customers and filtration sales force to select the best method of solids/liquid separation for a variety of applications.

· Full project scope to include, pricing for materials, bids from subcontractors

· Coordinate production methods and processes with manufacturing

· Liaison with sales and customers on concepts and expectations and needs

· Review completed jobs for accuracy

· Maintain current estimating information

· Coordinate delivery dates with manufacturing

· Coordinate "kickoff" meetings on new orders with manufacturing

· Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, materials, etc.

Requirements

•

Advanced technical education preferred (2 or 4 years) preferred but not required

•

Must have experience working with filtration products such as filter presses, pressure leaf filters, backwash filters, liquid separation and process systems.

•

Experience working within industries such as mining, gas & oil, water/waste, or food/beverage industries is a plus

•

Experience providing accurate estimates for projects including labor, materials and subcontracting is required

•

Manufacturing experience is required

•

Must have time management skills and have the ability to meet deadlines

•

Must be able to read/interpret blueprints

•

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments.

•

Ability to effectively negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

•

Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus.

•

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
