Position Summary
Paul Davis Fort McMurray is the largest locally owned and operated restoration/reconstruction company in Fort McMurray that provides a range of services for both residential and commercial properties.
The primary role of the estimator is to work with project managers on interpreting scopes to translate into written estimates for fire, water, mould, storm, etc. property losses.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities•Complete reviews for compliance with SLA requirements through our main estimating platforms; XactAnalysis
•Assist with ongoing training of other team members in the department with processes related to estimating
•Liaison insurance carrier partners
•Support employees in obtaining more jobs through improved scorecard performance
•Provide guidance related to job cycle time and job compliance review
•All other duties as assigned
Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, One Drive, Share Point)
•Knowledge of estimating platforms; Xactware Products
•Some knowledge of the insurance industry standards
•Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

•Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems and estimating platforms

Desired Education and Experience
•High School Diploma or GED
•Experience in the insurance industry is desired but not mandatory
Physical Requirement
•Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 100% of the time
•The person in this position must be mobile
•Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and computer printer
