Position Summary:
The Estimator plays a critical role by providing accurate, timely, and competitive estimates. This position requires a deep understanding of industrial piping systems, structural and modular fabrication, ASME code requirements, and energy-sector project delivery. Estimators collaborate with operations, project management and procurement teams to develop pricing strategies and project proposals aligned with our quality and safety standards.
Essential Functions:
•Analyze project documentation (blueprints, specifications, RFQs, ISOs, P&IDs, layouts) to generate detailed time, cost, labor, and material estimates.
•Develop estimates for a wide range of fabrication and field service projects including but not limited to:
•Pressure vessels and ASME code work
•Structural steel and piping assemblies
•Oil and gas well hook-ups and facility construction
•Conduct site visits and interface with field teams to gather scope details and assess labor, equipment, and schedule requirements.
•Prepare bid packages using computerized estimating software and internal cost databases.
•Review subcontractor and vendor quotes for scope coverage and accuracy; solicit material pricing when needed.
•Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure alignment of scope, cost, and constructability.
•Organize and present estimates in a clear, well-documented format suitable for internal review and customer submission.
•Participate in turnover meetings to communicate awarded project details to operations and field teams.
•Continuously improve and update internal estimating tools and processes to reflect project feedback, market trends, and productivity data.
•Support pre-construction planning, scheduling, and procurement coordination.
•Complete other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
•3–5 years of estimating experience in industrial construction, fabrication, or mechanical trades.
•Working knowledge of ASME codes, industrial fabrication methods, and field service scopes.
•Ability to read and interpret drawings including ISOs, P&IDs, layouts, and shop details.
•Familiarity with material takeoffs, labor productivity rates, and cost coding structures.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with estimating software a plus
•Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
•Able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines in a fast-paced, custom-project environment.
•Prior experience in the oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, or industrial fabrication sectors is strongly preferred.
•Field experience or cross-training in welding, procurement, or fabrication highly valued.

•Office-based with occasional site visits (shop or field) required.
•Must be able to walk job sites, climb ladders/stairs, and perform limited physical tasks related to field assessments
