JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Estimator Reports To: VP

Department(s): Engineering FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Estimating manufacturing costs for jobs from prints or prototypes.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Produce quotes from prints or samples estimates the costs of a production jobs to specifications

Estimates time and labor, material, overhead, and outside services costs

Coordinates with internal and external parties including but not limited to sales, process engineers, development, production, purchasing, and outside vendors.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Training: BS in engineering or manufacturing related discipline or commensurate experience preferred.

Experience: preferred 3 years of previous experience in engineering/job cost capacity.

Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints

Computer skills including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, nesting software, Excel, Access, and related software.

Proficiency working with various engineering files: SolidWorks, DXF, DWG, etc.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Understanding of tolerances and measurement devices

Ability to work autonomously and to meet deadlines.
