Crow Precision Components, LLC (Crow) is a forge manufacturing company based in Fort Worth, Texas. Crow is a division of WHI Global, LLC, (www.whiglobal.com). Crow’s 98,000 square foot manufacturing facility operates 2 shifts; and its capacity includes 6 hammers, 12 hydraulic presses, and a screw press. Crow is NADCAP certified to perform Heat Treat and Non-Destructive Testing. Crow is ISO 9001 and AS 9100D certified.
The Estimator is responsible for all aspects of developing quotes to customers, including discussing parts with the customer, interpreting blueprints, determining a manufacturing process, pricing according to current material and labor rates, and entering data into the ERP system. The Estimator will participate in communicating with existing and potential customers.
Estimating new parts as requested by the customer.
Repricing repeat parts based on current material and labor rates.
Data entry of routings / processes / part information into ERP System.
Reviewing customer purchase orders for accuracy, proper drawings, and pricing information.
Communicating with customers regarding parts, drawings, and to clarify requirements / specifications.
Interacting with potential customers in collaboration with the Sales and Engineering Managers.
Ensures compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintains a shop floor presence, make decisions, organize, and have problem / resolution skills.
High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
- A college degree or trade certifications are desired but not required.
Solid experience with Microsoft applications, and large MRP / ERP experience.
1 – 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations is required.
- Forging and forging tooling & design is desired but not required.
- Experience in the aerospace industry is strongly preferred but not required.
Experience with ERP Systems, and strong PC skills required (including Microsoft office suite).
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as technical specifications, professional journals, test reports and drawings, including strong blueprint reading skills, is required.
Familiarity with mathematical concepts, fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry, and an ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Experience or willingness to learn customer service is a plus.

Self-motivated and ability to work well with others.
Available to work weekends and overtime as may be required.
Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling weights up to 25 pounds for short periods of time.
