Summary

We are looking for a Equipment Repair/Shop Technician to join our team at Confluence Environmental, Inc. This role is essential for supporting our operations by maintaining and repairing equipment used in environmental field services. Your contributions will directly impact our mission of delivering high-quality environmental solutions.

The Shop Technician assists in various job functions that assist with preparing Field Technicians for their workweek. Must have a mechanical aptitude. Training will be provided for the right candidate. The job is located in Long Beach.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and industrial equipment.

- Assemble and disassemble equipment as needed for service and repair.

- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.

- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues.

- Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment for field operations.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the shop.

Requirements

- Must be able to travel to NorCal for initial training.

- Must have a clean and valid driver’s license.

- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.

- Familiarity with industrial equipment and service technician roles.

- Ability to work with power tools and hand tools safely.

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Experience with changing tires & changing oil.

- Ability to service gas powered equipment.

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting repair of water sampling pumps, equipment, and meters.

- Assist in all operations as needed and run errands.

- Applying quality system requirements to work processes.

- Execute activities as assigned by your manager or lead technician.

- Willingness to learn company training and cross-functional efforts.

- Assist in shop cleanliness.

- Apply safety precautions in all aspects of the job.

- The ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist level and lift 50 pounds and carry 200 feet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
