Equipment Operator

Luck Stone's Enoree, SC quarry is seeking an Equipment Operator. Equipment Operators run machinery for the success of the aggregate extraction process. They are trained associates who report to a supervisor or foreman. Equipment Operators skillfully navigate the pit and yard to ensure safe loading and unloading of rock into the primary crushers. Dependent upon heavy equipment experience, Equipment Operators will need high to little supervision for accomplishing their essential functions depending upon experience.

Essential Functions

90% of job: Operator of a Equipment Operator.

- Responsible for the safe operations of assigned equipment.

- Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.

- Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment.

- Ensuring equipment is properly positioned for loading and unloading of water.

- Performing other plant or pit maintenance duties as needed.

- Promptly reporting all faults to the Plant Manager or Foreman.

- Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.

10% of job:

- Participate in meetings and training as directed.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED

Certifications

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pit experience

ENVIRONMENT OR PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to work under conditions of frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions; frequently in, on, and around quarry high walls and pit; extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels.

Competitive hourly pay (biweekly). Benefits start day 1 of employment and include:

Pay starts at $22.00 per hour but may increase upon experience evaluation by management.
