SUMMARY
Hanwha Qcells EcoRecycle, Inc. is seeking a skilled and proactive Equipment Engineer to join our team at the Cartersville, GA plant. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment through rigorous preventive maintenance, expert troubleshooting, and collaborative technical support. The ideal candidate is a bilingual technical professional with a strong safety mindset and at least one year of experience in a U.S. manufacturing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Routine & Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment and auxiliary facilities.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions in the event of equipment malfunctions.
- Maintenance Logs & Reporting: Maintain and report detailed records of equipment failures, repairs, and maintenance history.
- Parts Management: Manage inventory for consumables and maintenance spare parts.
- Electrical Maintenance: Perform basic electrical inspections and repairs (e.g., sensors, switches, wiring, etc.).
- Safety & SOP Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Production Collaboration: Collaborate with the production team to improve equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Vendor Support: Support and coordinate with external equipment vendors and technicians during site visits.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in equipment maintenance or a related field.
- Experience in manufacturing or factory equipment maintenance (industrial machinery, coveyors, motors, pumps, etc.).
- Experience in maintaining and repairing recycling equipment (preferred).
- Basic electrical knowledge and ability to perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Proficient in speaking both Korean and English. Ability to speak in Spanish is also ideal.
- Proven experience working with external vendors and technical experts.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines simultaneously.
