The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager responsible for multiple sites-including out-of-state locations-plays a critical role in ensuring that all company operations comply with regulatory standards while promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. This individual, working with all leadership, develops and implements standardized EHS programs across geographically dispersed facilities, ensuring consistency in safety training, hazard prevention, emergency preparedness, and environmental compliance. The EHS Manager works closely with site leadership and Safety Coordinators to conduct audits, identify risks, and enforce policies that minimize workplace incidents and environmental impact.
With oversight of multiple facilities, the EHS Manager must adapt strategies to local regulations while maintaining corporate standards, often navigating differences in state laws, climates, and operational risks. They serve as the central authority for reporting, compliance documentation. and communication with regulatory bodies such as OSHA and the EPA. Managing a team of on-site safety personnel, the EHS Manager also provides leadership, training, and accountability to ensure that each location is aligned with the company's safety objectives and sustainability goals. Their role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring frequent travel, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to risk management.
The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager will report to the COO.
Design and deliver training programs for employees and supervisors on safety procedures, hazard identify cation, and emergency preparedness.
Promote a proactive, accountable safety culture through engagement, recognition, and communication initiatives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies on EHS matters.
