EHS MANAGER POSITION

Fox Tank Company is a leading diversified manufacturer, distributer of oil storage tanks, pressure vessels, parts and accessories. Fox Tank Company is headquartered in Kerrville, Texas.
THE ROLE
The EHS Manager is responsible for leading FTC’s Environmental, Health & Safety Program for the respective operations they oversee. The EHS Manager will report directly to the FTC upper management.
ASSIGNED LOCATION: Kerrville, Texas
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
•Plan, organize, and conduct inspections of facilities, work areas, and equipment at assigned operations.
•Conduct and coordinate employee training in areas such as workplace safety, compliance, hazard identification and risk assessments, and the use of safety equipment.
•Participate in safety audits and drive corrective actions to closure with the FTC leadership team.
•Lead investigations relevant to EHS events occurring within assigned location. Ensure corrective actions are purposeful, complete, and implemented.
•Coordinate, manage and respond to all regulatory agency level inspections and activity within the assigned location.
•Accurately maintain EHS related data and records.
•Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees at all levels of the organization on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
•Evaluate EHS programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and long-term strategic safety goals, development needs, and the use of best practices.
•Ensure EHS compliance by rolling out and implementing policies and standards to each location.
•Execute other duties as assigned.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
•Effectively communicate expectations with employees and management team, both verbally and written, with tact and diplomacy.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
•5-7 years of experience in a EHS leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
•In addition, 5+ years of experience in a management leadership role.
•Demonstrated results in multi-plant responsibility highly desired.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position may require sitting, stooping, kneeling, pushing, climbing, moving, and reaching overhead as well as working overhead. Ability to lift, up to 40 lbs. and work in a heavy manufacturing environment, and outdoors, in various climates and temperatures.
